The countdown has started. Apple will schedule a special event on September 10 at its main office in San Jose. The event will be at the Steve Jobs Theatre in the Apple office. At the event, the company is expected to launch its generation iPhone series consisting of the iPhone XR successor -iPhone 11, the iPhone XS successor - the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone XS Max successor-- iPhone 11 Pro Max.

The event will begin at 10AM PDT or 10:30PM IST on September 10 at the Steve Jobs Theatre in the company's headquarters and it is also likely to witness the tech giant unveiling its next generation of software --iOS 13, watch OS6, macOS Catalina and tvOS13.

When it comes to this event, there are some certainties and some possibilities while some rumours are probably too wild to be true. First let's talk of certainties.

iPhone 11 series is coming

iPhone 11 series: The iPhone 11 series is going to take the centre stage at today's launch event. The iPhone 11 series is not only to expected to bring a faster (A13 chipset) and stronger iPhones to the users butit is also likely to bring major camera upgrades to the company's latest batchof smartphones. This includes major improvements to capturing images under low light conditions. The iPhone 11 series is also likely to bring functionality that would allow users to live edit videos while shooting. It is also expected to bring reverse wireless charging and iPhone XR-like haptic touch to all iPhone 11 models.

In total, we are likely to see three new iPhone modes:iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

As far as features are concerned, expect the new iPhones to have:

-- New Apple A13 processor

-- iOS 13 software

-- Upgraded camera system with 3 cameras: One regular camera, one wide-angle lens camera and one zoom lens camera in the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. In the iPhone 11, expect to see two cameras: regular camera and the zoom-lens camera.

iPhone 11 prices

As far as the cost of the devices is concerned, reportsindicate that Apple could price its 2019 iPhone similar to what it did in case ofits 2018 iPhones. According to reports, the base variant of iPhone 11 is likelyto cost around $749, which is the same as the base price at which the iPhone XRwas launched last year. While this price translates to Rs 53,800 approx, inIndia Apple launched the base variant of iPhone XR at around Rs 77,000. So itis possible that we would see the same difference in prices this year as well.Asfar the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max are concerned, the twosmartphones could start at $999 (Rs 71,700 approx) and $1099 (Rs 78,900 approx)respectively. However, we will have to wait and see how the company prices its2019 iPhones in India. But the iPhone 11 will be very expensive.

New watch also coming

Apple Watch Series 5: It is almost customary for Apple tointroduce an upgraded version of its Apple Watch Series along with the launchof a new iPhone model. This year's Apple Watch is likely to feature an OLEDdisplay and come with sleep tracking technology. The sleep tracking feature ofApple's smartwatch will be accessible via the Apple Health app and a new Sleepapp.

Another possibility

Apart from the above-mentioned devices, Apple is alsoexpected to launch a Tile like Bluetooth tracker that would enable users tofind the tagged items using the company's Find My app. It would come with aspecial Lost Mode that would allow other iPhone users to locate a lost item andreturn it to its rightful owner if the owner isn't able to the item themselves.

Wild rumours but will probably won't launch

Apple is expected to launch a 16-inch MacBook Pro with ascissor keyboard one of these days. Some reports suggest that this laptop willbe launched along with the iPhone 11. But chances are that this will not be thecase because Apple usually holds the iPhone and MacBook launch eventsseparately because it doesn't want two products to share the limelight at thesame event.
